Fortnite is coming to Windows ARM devices powered by Qualcomm’s Arm-based Snapdragon chips later this year. Epic Games announced a partnership with Qualcomm to add support for Easy Anti-Cheat.
Epic says Windows 11 Arm-based laptops are reshaping the PC gaming scene, but many games today are compiled for x64, creating compatibility challenges. The introduction of Easy Anti-Cheat for these devices aims to resolve this, with Fortnite being the first to test the setup.
Epic says this partnership will help improve anti-cheat compatibility across other games in the future.
Microsoft is reportedly working on two Xbox handheld gaming devices. A collaboration with a major PC brand like Lenovo, ASUS, or MSI is planned for 2025. The idea is to offer native PC gaming under the Xbox brand.
Separately, Microsoft itself is designing a fully in-house Xbox handheld for a 2027 release, coinciding with a new Xbox Series X successor. New Xbox controllers are also being tested internally.
While details on these devices remain limited, according to gaming expert Jez Cordon, Microsoft's push signals a serious entry into the portable gaming market. Microsoft wants to bring "Xbox everywhere", including your PCs, but does not plan to ditch consoles.

AutoCAD users facing issues upgrading to Windows 11 version 24H2 have good news: Microsoft confirmed Autodesk resolved compatibility problems with AutoCAD 2022 in update S182.0.0 (version 2022.1.4 or newer).
To fix these issues, check your AutoCAD version from the About Box and update to continue smoothly. Once done, restart your PC afterwards to quickly lift Microsoft's upgrade block. It may take 24 to 48 hours for changes to reflect.
This issue only affected AutoCAD 2022—other versions like 2023-2025 weren't impacted. Microsoft continues addressing separate compatibility bugs involving cameras and anti-cheat software. However, Windows 11 24H2 has a new printer bug as well.
It's time to say goodbye to Remote Desktop app for Windows, and embrace the Windows app.
Microsoft will soon retire its standalone Remote Desktop app for Windows on May 27, 2025. After this date, you'll need to switch to the Windows app to keep using Windows 365, Azure Virtual Desktop, and Microsoft Dev Box.
The recommended Windows App offers improved integration with Microsoft Teams, multidevice redirection, and easier account management. However, if you primarily use Remote Desktop to access remote PCs, you can still use the standard Windows app. Microsoft recommends migrating now to avoid losing access later.
AMD recently released chipset driver version 7.02.13.148 with key new improvements for Ryzen users. It improves gaming performance for Ryzen 9 CPUs through smarter power management and core-parking optimizations, especially benefiting chips with 3D V-cache like the Ryzen 9950X3D.
The update introduces Automatic Processor Detection, allowing Windows to automatically optimize games without reinstalling the OS whenever you change CPUs. Additionally, AMD added an Application Compatibility Database Driver that adjusts thread usage for games incompatible with the new optimizations.
If you're using Ryzen 9 CPUs, especially X3D models, this update significantly improves gaming performance and convenience.
Windows 11 update (KB5050094) is causing issues with certain dual-mode printers (USB and IPP over USB), making them print gibberish text. You might see pages starting with headers like "POST /ipp/print HTTP/1.1" followed by random data.
This affects Windows 11 versions 23H2 and 22H2. Microsoft released a temporary workaround: IT administrators can deploy a special Group Policy update, detailed on the official Microsoft support page.
You’ll need to restart your PC after applying this fix. Microsoft will likely provide a permanent fix soon, but for now, follow these steps to avoid printing errors.

Nvidia's GPUs have been facing several issues, including black screen crashes, missing ROPs, and disabled PhysX. Recently, there’s been a conflict between Nvidia GPUs and the latest Windows 11 Canary builds, causing crashes with DirectX 9 (D3D9 DLL)
This has led to problems with applications like games, browsers, and PowerPoint not launching properly.
Users have found that replacing the D3D9 DLL files with older versions and disabling the Nvidia GPU through Device Manager temporarily resolves the issue. However, performance drops in games when the GPU is disabled. Microsoft hasn’t officially blamed Nvidia yet.
Microsoft is bringing Copilot to GroupMe, the popular messaging app in the United States. GroupMe isn't gone after the Skype shut down, even though it was developed by the Skype team at Microsoft.
Instead, you can now ask Copilot for help directly within chats. Whether you need help solving a math problem, getting restaurant suggestions for a meet-up, or generating images from text, Copilot’s got your back.
You can brainstorm responses, break down difficult concepts, plan events, create playlists, and more. Microsoft promises Copilot won't access group chats, direct messages, or personal data.
